PET WELLNESS
PET DENTAL
During your pet’s wellness exam, we will perform a physical assessment, checking your dog or cat from nose to tail. We will also make sure your pet receives appropriate vaccinations and preventives. We will perform a diagnostic workup, which may include blood, fecal, and urine tests to check for parasites and underlying diseases. Furthermore, we may also recommend that your pet receive dental care.
When your pet is nearing his or her senior years, we will recommend a baseline exam and diagnostic workup so we’ll know what’s normal for your pet. This will enable us to keep track of any changes.
Imagine what your mouth would feel like if you never brushed your teeth or went to the dentist. For many dogs and cats, this is a painful reality. According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, more than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have dental disease by the age of 3. Dental (or periodontal) disease is the most frequently diagnosed health problem in pets.
Even if your dog or cat doesn’t have these symptoms, we recommend that you have a veterinarian evaluate your pet’s dental health at least once a year. Bacteria and food debris accumulate around the teeth and, if left unchecked, will lead to deterioration of the soft tissue and bone surrounding the teeth. This decay can result in irreversible periodontal disease, tooth loss, and possibly expensive oral surgery.
SURGICAL SERVICES
PET DIAGNOSTICS
Pet surgery services play a vital role in maintaining the health and well-being of animals, offering both routine and advanced procedures to diagnose, treat, or prevent medical issues. These services can range from common surgeries like spaying, neutering, and mass removal to more complex orthopedic, dental, or emergency operations. Veterinary surgical teams use modern equipment, anesthesia monitoring, and pain-management protocols to ensure pets remain safe and comfortable before, during, and after their procedures. With compassionate care and skilled expertise, pet surgery services help improve quality of life, support long-term health, and give pet owners peace of mind knowing their companions are in capable hands.
Pet diagnostic services are essential for accurately identifying health issues and supporting early intervention to keep animals healthy. These services include a wide range of tools and technologies such as bloodwork, urinalysis, digital X-rays, ultrasound imaging, and advanced laboratory testing. By providing veterinarians with valuable insights into a pet’s internal health, diagnostics help detect illnesses, assess organ function, and guide treatment plans with precision. Whether used during routine wellness exams or to investigate symptoms, pet diagnostic services play a crucial role in delivering timely, informed care that leads to better outcomes and improved quality of life for pets.
